  • Journeyman/Apprentice Plumbers

    We are looking for a licensed Journeyman Plumber to assist with residential projects in and around the Calgary area. In this role, you will be installing systems according to blueprints or other technical documents.

    If you are an Apprentice we also encourage you to apply. 

    Duties and Responsibilities

    · Install and repair plumbing and drainage systems.

    · Locate and repair leaks in piping.

    · Install or replace fixtures.

    · Perform preventative maintenance.

    · Oversee apprentices on-site.

    · Document issues and repairs

    · Follow OHS regulations

    Requirements and Qualifications

    · High school diploma or GED certificate

    · Completion of technical training through a trade school or apprenticeship

    · Journeyman Certification

    · Residential plumbing experience preferred.

    · Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract

    · Blueprint reading skills.

  • HVAC & Plumbing Installation Specialists

    We are looking for licensed Journeyman installers to assist with residential projects in and around the Calgary area. In this role, you will be installing systems according to blueprints or other technical documents.

    Duties and Responsibilities

      • Install and repair HVAC and plumbing systems.
      • Perform preventative maintenance.
      • Oversee apprentices on-site.
      • Digital document handling, some familiarity with using smartphones and tablets
      • Follow OHS regulations

    Sub Trades are an important part of the WM Schmidt team, and many of our Sub Trade partners have been with us for many years. If you are a small mechanical contractor looking to join us, please use the contact us now link below. Please note the following requirements:

    • Sub-trades will work with our supervisors to work into the WM Schmidt team schedule.
    • We accept subcontractors with one employee or larger teams.
    • Subtrades must have WCB paid and up to date.
    • We have standards of safety that require WHMIS training and first-aid certifications.
    • Sub-trades are responsible for their own equipment, tools, and PPE.
    • Must attend monthly safety briefings.
